About Us
At New Wave we believe EVERYONE has a next step. We want to take that step with you. New Wave Christian Church is more than just a non-denominational church; it's a family of forgiven people who strive to help others encounter Jesus. We are focused on embracing our relationship with Jesus Christ and being the disciples that He's called us to be in scripture Matthew 28:19. We believe You'll find a unique and welcoming atmosphere at our Church.
A Church Beyond the 4 Walls
"Living out our faith every day."
At New wave, we believe church is more than a building or a Sunday service. We are called to live out our faith in our homes, workplaces, schools, and community. Being a church beyond the four walls means loving people where they are, serving our city, and reflecting Jesus in everyday life.
What to Expect When You Visit
When you visit New Wave, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where you don't have to have everything figured out. From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by friendly peoplewho genuinely care, engaging worship that points your heart toward Jesus, and practical Bible-based teaching you can apply to everyday life. Whether you come on your own, with family, or with questions, you'll find a place where you can feel comfortable, encouraged, and at home.

Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21) and is the final standard for all doctrine, faith, and Christian living (Matthew 4:4; Psalm 119:105). The Scriptures reveal God’s character (Exodus 34:6-7; Hebrews 1:1-3), His plan for salvation (Romans 1:16; 2 Timothy 3:15), and His instructions for righteousness (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 19:7-11; James 1:22-25)God
We believe in one living and true God, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2, 27; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)Jesus
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father, was conceived by the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, buried, and rose again. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. (Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25)The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the operation of the nine spiritual gifts. We encourage believers to live in a way that allows these gifts to be active in their lives. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)Salvation
Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We are justified by His blood when we repent of our sins and believe in Him. (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; John 14:6; Acts 13:38-39; Romans 5:1; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Mark 1:5)Baptism
We believe that water baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing His death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism represents the believer’s identification with Christ, the cleansing of sin, and the new life found in Him (Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 22:16). While baptism itself does not save, it is an act of obedience to Christ’s command (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:16) and a testimony of one’s commitment to follow Him (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:36-38).The Second Coming
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ. He will come again to gather His people and establish His eternal kingdom. (Acts 1:10-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)Eternity
Those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God in Hell, but those who believe in Him will share in His glory in Heaven forever. (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Jude 1:7)Marriage & Family
We uphold the sanctity of marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. We believe in strong family values and the importance of godly homes. (Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5; Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24)

Missions
New Wave Christian Church supports local evangelism/missions and supports missionaries that travel abroad to spread the gospel. In 2026 we are continuing to support Fellowship of Christian Athletes where we have amazing missionaries that go into all the schools in Lake County. We sponsor Tim Hancock with South Lake FCA and Pastor Bobby Rowe that works with North Lake FCA. We are also supporting Ryan Fishburn who is abroad in South America, Africa, and Stateside. We have added Thomas which is a young adult that is working with YWAM Youth With A Mission. Thomas will be traveling to Japan to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally, we are also adding Brad Reynolds which is doing mission trips to Brazil, Peru, and around the world. Please keep them in prayer and you can allocate support by getting their direct support link or donating online with a note to allocate your support to these missionaries. On top of supporting these missionaries we also do local outreach with our Illumin8 ministry multiple times per month locally and everyone is invited to join in our local outreach events.
